Thermal power plants

Thermal power plants work on fossil fuels like fuel oil, coal, peat, gas. We build up thermal power plants near large oil refineries, mainly in the region where natural resources are present.

Hydroelectric power stations

We build them in places where we block large rivers by a dam, and thanks to the energy of the falling water, the turbines of the electric generator rotate. Nuclear power plants

Wind energy

Wind farms can produce electrical energy only when forceful winds blow. The windmill is the main modern energy source of wind energy. We program two operating modes in it - weak and strong winds, and there is also an engine stop if there is powerful wind.

The major disadvantage of wind power plants (wind farms) is the noise received during the rotation of the propeller blades.

Tidal power plants

Tidal energy is used to produce electrical energy. To build the simplest tidal power station, you need a pool, blocked by a dam, a river mouth, or a bay. We equip the dam with hydraulic turbines and culverts.

Water at high tide flows into the pool, and when we compare the water and pool levels, the culverts are closed. With the approach of low tide, the water level decreases, the pressure becomes of sufficient strength, turbines and electric generators begin their work, gradually the water leaves the pool.

Fresh sources of energy in the form of tidal power plants have some disadvantages. 

  • violating the normal exchange of fresh and saltwater.
  • Impact on the climate, because of their work, the energy potential of the water, the speed, and area of ​​movement change.

New promising energy sources - biomass

Biomass is primary and secondary. To get energy, you can use dried algae, agricultural waste, and wood, etc.

To date, a decent amount of garbage has accumulated in the world that degrades the environment, garbage has a detrimental effect on people, animals, and all living things. That is why we require the development of energy, where secondary biomass will prevent environmental pollution.

Advantages - the concentration of carbon dioxide does not increase, we solve the problem of using garbage, therefore; the environment improves.
